Unti Vineyards

Mick Unti, his dad, his sister and their French winemaker make bold and assertive reds (and an occasional rose) at the vineyard and winery in Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. It’s hot there in the summer and rocky all the time. The wines are intense, full-flavored, unfined and unfiltered. They age for years.
Syrah Syrah: Medium to full-bodied wine that really shows the pedigree of Unti's Benchland site, featuring a complex set of blackberry and grilled meat aromas and flavors. It combines the earthy savory flavors of Northern Rhone Syrah in a lush, Dry Creek wine. This Syrah is already drinking nicely and should continue to do so for 3 to 5 years.
Grenache The Grenache: has structure and expressive fruit. As you would expect from a Chateauneuf du Pape, this Grenache has intense aromatics of raspberry, blackberry, tar, pepper, licorice, and dried herbs. Fruit forward, with the stuff to last at least five to seven years.
Zinfandel Zinfandel: While this Zin may be on the riper side for Unti, it retains the crisp acid balance you’ve come to expect from their vineyards. Rich and concentrated, this jammy zin should show quite well upon release, but it has the structure to age well over the next 2 to 4 years. A classic Dry Creek Valley Zin.
Barbera (Allocated) Barbera: Possesses deep color, exotic fruit aromas, a juicy mouth-feel, and solid acidity. The wine’s vibrant acidity will remind you of drinking exciting modern-style Barberas from Piemonte. It is so versatile. Don’t let this wine make old bones! Drink now and over the next two years.
